Sitting all alone
In a dark room
Tears start rolling down
Heart filled with gloom

Heavy chains
Bound to hands and feet
What remains
Is nothing but heat

Your soul melts away
In deep misery
Hoping for a way
To obtain mercy

Then a ray of light
Shines in through a crack
When you release pride
Acknowledging lack

The chains are broken
As the Light shines in
Your knees have fallen
At the Savior's feet

The soul is lifted
To greater heights
As you abide in
The Savior's plight
