No matter what happens 

In the world 

You will still have peace when

In the Lord 

The Peace of God 

Comes from the Lord and not the world 

So it cannot 

Be taken away by the world 

The Peace of God

Is not a void of sorrows

Or the absence

Of pain in your tomorrows 

The Peace of God

Is not an absence of loss

This Peace stems from 

The Work of Christ at the cross

The Peace of God

Is a true peace from God

For it is the 

Very presence of God

The Lord God did not leave them 

He led them through the wilderness

With a pillar of cloud and fire 

Thus even in your wilderness

The Lord God will be with you 

By day and by night the Lord God

Will certainly direct you

The Lord God fed them 

Every morning bread would 

Rain down from heaven

Thus even in your wilderness 

The Lord God will feed you 

Every morning His mercies

And Word are there for you

The time is coming

When all things fade away

And the new is entering

Which will come to stay

The new season is dawning

As the old be fading

Make room for the season

And capture the reason

Will it be good?

There is no doubt that it should

As it most certainly would

For the Lord God is Good

There is no need to worry

Just let go and be merry

Cast your burdens to Him carry

To be light and not weary

For the roof of the old season

Shall be the floor of the new story

As you step into His new reason

And grow from glory to glory
