I wake up early
With a fresh mind
To hear so clearly
How You define
The very things
That matter to You
My spirit springs
As I learn from You
Your Words so sharp
Piercing the heart
Leaving Your mark
Ever so stark
That I may not
Tread on evil ground
And not be choked
Or with chains be bound
For You are my Lord
Holy and true
I obey Your Word
For I love You
