Have you ever felt
That the finish line
Never gets nearer
But a further line
I didn't understand at first
But now I do understand why
To keep a constant hunger and thirst
And keep my dependence on Christ
To keep pride from coming in
And build greater faith within
To keep each step in
Perfect step with Him
It was for my own good
To keep me going forwards
For where I have reached should
Lead me to a place forwards
So with each step I go forwards
The finish line is made further
For my dear Lord God wants
To bring me much further
