The Lord gave
Everything He had for you
He gave His
Only begotten Son for you
He spared not His own Son
Not to save one or some
He sacrificed His only Son
To save every single one
Jesus Christ, His Son endured the cross
And remained until the work was done
He did not leave but stayed on the cross
Though He easily could have come down
It was not the nails
That kept Him on the cross
It was purely by
His deep true love for us
