The Day of the Lord

Concerning the times
And seasons
Do not be ignorant and
Complacent
Be alert and ready in time
Know perfectly that the day of the Lord
Waits for no one who pleads more time
Firmly it has been written and foretold
As a thief in the night the day shall come
For when they say "Peace and safety!"
Then upon them sudden destruction comes
And none shall escape with mercy
Do not remain in the dark and night
But come into the Kingdom of Light
Do not sleep as others do
But watch and be ready to
Meet with the Lord sober and bright
With the breastplate of faith and love in sight
And the hope of salvation as a
Helmet worn always firmly and tight
For God did not appoint us to wrath
But to walk with Him in the right path
And obtain salvation through Christ
Who died for us to give us life
