Rise Up And Rejoice

When you have gone through
So much trauma in life
And you have been through
The deepest valley and strife
Everything you see and feel
Comes upon you as stinging pain
And you have no strength left to deal
With the oncoming hurricane
You see yourself fighting against
The things God had sent to set you free
You remain in unwanted chains
For not recognizing His Mercy
Stop projecting the pain
Of the past onto the present
You will certainly gain
Greater peace with the Lord's presence
Do not allow the trials
To steal away your joy
Go on with a smile
Rise up and rejoice
