Precious Hope

You hope for life
To take a turn
From gruesome strife
And great burdens

You hope that there
Will be a time
When all your fears
Are left behind

You hope that all
Your sin and shame
Be wiped away
Not seen again

You hope for winter
To turn to spring
Whatever bitter
Made a sweet thing

And when you found
That precious hope
Without a doubt
You took the road

To trust the one
And only hope
In God the Son
The Living Word
