What makes the path
So smooth and straight
But by the act
Of God Most Great
What makes the day
So bright and shiny
But when God gave
His Light of Glory
What makes the time
So precious as gold
But when we find
The Lord's plans unfold
What makes the sight
So sharp and clear
But God's insight
In all things dear
What makes the heart
So lovingly tender
But by the Love
Of our God the Father
What makes the soul
So peacefully calm
But in God's hold
Ever safe and sound
